RISE Members met on September 23rd, 2019 to discuss, brainstorm and to find ways to accommodate the influx of students registered for the CCBC English classes and to find day care facilities for their children.

On Monday, August 26th, 2019, RISE members met to discuss among several issues, the possibility of a new theme that could focus on and reflect on RISE programs that support immigrants and refugees. The theme that has been selected for this season is: “WE ALL BELONG”, which will embrace all and sundry as well as welcome everyone to participate and feel welcome in our communities.

On July 2nd in Catonsville, Rev. Mary took part in a rally to close the detention camps along the US/Mexico border. RISE stands with refugees and immigrants and protests the current practice of family separation and the inhumane conditions that threatened health and well being of children and adults.

From creative arts to games and flying parachutes, Magic Monday offers kids an incredible opportunity this summer to find a safe, peaceful and creative environment to relax, hone skills, explore their creativity, have fun, interact and make new friends.
